Wish you could see pictures of your students?
January 27, 2015
When a student signs into your lobby, how do you know he is who he says he is? How do you know he’s not posing as someone else? Don’t you wish there was a way to see a picture of the student who has signed in?
Who’s Next has the ability to show you a picture of the student right inside the Student Lobby window. This picture is the same picture that your campus uses for your Student ID cards. To configure Who’s Next to show student pictures, please follow these steps:
Log into the Advisor/Counselor Component using your user name and password.
Go to Tools > Program Options…
On the left side of the window click on Student Pictures.
On the right side of the window check the box labeled Can show student pictures.
Select the Read images from folder radio button.
Next copy and paste the exact path where the images can be found. You may need assistance from your local IT person for this.
Click Save when you are done.
Now in the Student Lobby window click on Column Chooser.
Select an available dropdown box and select ClientPicture. Click OK when you are done.
The Picture column will now appear and the student’s picture will show (if a picture is available).
