When a school decides to purchase our software, we recommend that the data be stored on campus. However, for schools that do not have the IT infrustructure to house their own data, we are excited to offer a Cloud Hosting package.
Here are some benefits of our Cloud Hosting package:
Reduce spending on technology infrastructure.
Streamline processes. Get more work done in less time with less people.
Reduce capital costs. There’s no need to spend big money on hardware, software or licensing fees.
Less personnel training is needed. It takes fewer people to do more work on a cloud, with a minimal learning curve on hardware and software issues.
Minimize licensing new software. Stretch and grow without the need to buy expensive software licenses or programs.

Here's a list of commonly asked questions regarding our hosting package:
"What kind of database is used to store our data?"
Answer: We use Microsoft SQL Server 2012 for the database storage.
"Where is the data stored?"
Answer: We have various servers that are strategically located throughout the country. We typically try to match a school up with a server that is located close to the school geographically.
"How often is it backed up?"
Answer: Our team backs up the data at least once a week, usually on Sundays. If a school requires that we back up the data more frequently, we can do it twice a week.
"How secure is the data?"
Answer: Our database is password protected and no school is ever given the exact login credentials. Our actual database connection string is embedded inside the MSI package so after the installation the software knows to connect to one of our servers automatically.
We also encrypted some of the data (i.e. passwords, visits notes, etc) inside the database. We’ve built our own encryption algorithms that have their own encryption and cypher keys.
We also use a Microsoft SQL Server feature that allows the physical connection to the database to be encrypted as well.
"Who can access the data?"
Answer: Only your school can access your database. This is because every school has their own physical database with their own username and password. No other school can see or access your data.
"What if we want to host our own data?"
Answer: If you choose to host the Who’s Next database on your servers, then you will need to Windows Server that has Microsoft SQL Server installed. What we do is we will take your database offline, make a backup copy of the file (.BAK) and send this file to your IT. Your DBA will then un-package the .BAK file and restore it on your server. This will ensure all of the data you collected will remain intact. Afterwards each of the workstations using Who’s Next will need to point to your server. This change over is fairly easy to do.
